Hello, I'm Mark Barnes, a multi award winning wedding photographer based in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland, just outside Belfast.

For more than 22 years I've had the privilege of photographing over 1,000 weddings, taking me across the island of Ireland, throughout the UK, and to beautiful destinations such as Cyprus, Portugal, and the South of France.

I'm proud to have been named Wedding Help NI Photographer of the Year in both 2024 and 2025, as well as PPANI Creative Wedding Photographer of the Year 2026. I'm also proud to be the highest reviewed wedding photographer in Northern Ireland, with more than 440 five star reviews across Google and Facebook.

I photographed my first wedding at just 14 years old, and I've never looked back. Wedding photography has been my full time career ever since, giving me the experience to stay calm under pressure, anticipate moments before they happen, and help every couple feel completely relaxed in front of the camera.

My style is natural, timeless, and emotion led. I believe the best photographs aren't forced, they're felt. Rather than filling your day with endless posing, I capture genuine moments as they unfold, stepping in with gentle direction only when it's needed. The result is a collection of photographs that feels authentic, elegant, and unmistakably you.

As a husband and father to two wonderful daughters, family means everything to me. Those experiences have shaped not only who I am but how I photograph weddings.
